            OPI announces the launch of 18 new limited edition holiday nail lacquers inspired by recording artist and international superstar Mariah Carey. This seasonal promotion includes an assortment of red, burgundy, maroon and chocolate brown hues, along with glitter-packed gold, bronze and pearl shades. Mariah Carey Holiday also features six new Liquid Sand™lacquers, ranging from icy blue to frosted pink to sparkling graphite. Vicious Circles: A blood red jelly loaded with silver holographic circles in two sizes, sliver holographic hex glitters and holographic sliver micro slices.  Best in two or three coats. 

 

Every Nook & Cranberry: A cranberry satin matte polish with a subtle pink and gold shimmer.  This polish with its blue undertones is one that will work on many skin tones.  Best in two coats.

 

You Autumn Know: A white crelly polish loaded with fuchsia, gold, and orange glitters.  Micro bars accent the fall pallet of this polish. Best in three coats, or two coats over white.

 

Teal Another Tail: A dusty teal green polish with a strong pink almost duo-chrome shimmer. A color I imagine would be on a mermaid’s tail.  Best in two coats.

 

Turbulence: A satin matte finish slate gray polish inspired by storm clouds.  Silver flakes are surrounded by micro blue and fuchsia sparks inspired by lightning and rain. Best in two coats. 

 

You Go Ghoul!: This Halloween polish is one that you will wear year round.  A black jelly sparkles with glitters in grape, berry and orange for a polish even a witch would love.  Best in two coats over black or three coats alone.

 

Excuse Me, I Blurped: A shade not quite blue, not quite purple shade with glitters in many shades of blue, purple, with a hint of copper. Best in two coats.

'I Dream of NY' Neons Collection by Mrs. P's Nail Potions

"I DREAM OF NY" (NEONS) COLLECTION AVAILABLE AUGUST 15! NEONS have now arrived at Mrs. P's Nail Potions!!!!!  I have compiled a collection of fun and unique neon lacquers all inspired by the television series "The Carrie Diaries".  In case anyone is not familiar with the TV series, it is effectively the "prequel" to "Sex And The City" where it shows Carrie's life throughout high school and prior to her living in NY.  The series takes place in the 80's and brings me back to all the wonder that was the fashion and music of the 80's!!! The photo above depicts the entire six piece collection, from left to right: The Emerald Strikes Back, Wake Me Up Before You Day-Glow, Purple Reigns, Purse-onal Style, Papa Don't Peach, and Glam-Rocker. You will have the choice of any of the six available lacquers in full-size bottles or you can get a mini set of all six (minis will not be sold in individual lacquers).  You can choose one, two, three, four, five, or all six - whatever suits your fancy.  These lacquers will run for $8.00 CAD each for individual full-size bottles, with the exception of "Glam-rocker" which will retail for $9.00 CAD simply due to the sheer amount of glitter in it and the higher price point of some of the glitter used for that particular polish.  The entire six piece full-size set will retail for $40.00 CAD.  There will also be the added option of purchasing the "Papa Don't Peach" and "Glam-rocker" duo in full-size for $15.00 CAD. As previously stated, the inspiration behind all of these lacquers was "The Carrie Diaries", in particular the fashion.  I would like to share with you the inspiration photos for each of the lacquers so you can see where my vision came from :)  It all started with an immediate vision for a polish that popped into my head when I saw the pilot episode which kind of centred around a purse that Carrie made (painted it with nail polish) which was spotted and coveted by a fashion editor for Carrie's favourite fashion mag "Interview". I immediately saw visions of a black polish loaded with various shapes and colours of glitters.  Hence, "Purse-onal Style" was born, which is a sheer black base full of white shreds, large neon pink hexes, medium orange hexes, neon blue slices, neon green squares, and neon yellow fine glitter. "The Emerald Strikes Back" is a neon green base with loads of medium silver holo hexes and fine silver glitter as well as a smattering here and there of some medium sized orange hexes.  Obviously the name is a play on "The Empire Strikes Back" which was part of the epic Star Wars saga and was the 1980's highest grossing film. "Papa Don't Peach" is a solid neon orange polish.  It is the only polish in the collection with no glitter, which makes it a perfect pairing for "Glam-rocker".  I decided not to use any glitter in this polish as I felt the orange was just too awesome all on its own.  Plus I knew I would have a glitter topper in this collection so a solid polish to pair up with the glitter topper was just what was needed!  Obviously the name is a play on the Madonna song "Papa Don't Preach" which was released in June of 1986 and there is no doubt that Madonna was one of the most iconic artists of the 1980's. "Wake Me Up Before You Day-glow" is a neon yellow base with neon blue slices and medium orange hexes.  The name is a play on the Wham! hit "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" which was released in 1984 and became the band's first UK number one hit. "Purple Reigns" is a neon purple base with lots of glitz and glamour made possible by medium silver holo hexes and fine purple holo glitter.  For some fun and interest there are some black bars thrown into the mix.  The name is a play on "Purple Rain" which was the sixth studio album released by Prince and The Revolution and was the soundtrack album to the 1984 movie.  "Purple Rain" is regularly ranked among the best albums in music history. "Glam-rocker" is a clear base glitter topper chockfull of bright and glitzy glitters.  You'll find: ultrafine super sparkly pink glitter, silver holo micro slices, medium gold holo hexes, large neon pink hexes, medium orange hexes, neon blue slices, white shreds, medium metallic red hexes, and fine neon yellow glitter.  There's so much stuff in this glitter topper that every swipe of the brush is a surprise on your nail!  This polish was inspired by the whole era of "Glam Rock" (also known as "Glitter Rock") which is a style of rock and pop music that developed in the UK in the 1970's and gained popularity through the 70's and 80's and even saw a revival in the 90's.  It was performed by singers and musicians who wore outrageous clothes, makeup, and hairstyles, particularly platform-soled boots and glitter. SCENTED TOP COATS NOW AVAILABLE! Choose from: - Coconut - Apple Cinnamon - Chocolate Fudge - Lemon **BRAND NEW** - BUBBLE GUM!!!!!!!!! This top coat is durable with a high gloss shine and will not yellow.  There is no colour added, simply a delicious scent.  DISCLAIMER: OBVIOUSLY NOT EDIBLE (sorry, has to be said) AND WILL ONLY SMELL OF THE SCENT ONCE IT IS DRY (while it is wet it will still have that nail polish odour).  Please DO NOT sniff the polish until it is 100% dry!  The scent should last anywhere from one or two days to one week, depending how often you wash your hands etc. and depending on how strong the scent is as some scents are stronger than others. REMINDER "Your Pool or Mine?" and "Summer Nights" are only available until August 31st! Thank you for your interest and support!
